Do I need to bring any fishing gear? Not a thing. We provide all the fishing equipment you need — rods, reels, bait, the lot.

Warm layers if the weather calls for it. Oh, and swimwear if you fancy a dip. We won't judge — we'll probably join you.

Is Hythe beach wheelchair accessible? Hythe is a pebble beach with tide slopes, so it isn't always straightforward for wheelchair users. That said, with enough notice we may be able to source a ramp — and we're committed to making sure everyone can experience the joy of fishing. Please don't hesitate to get in touch and we'll do everything we can to make it work.

Are there toilets at Hythe beach? Yes! Right next to the beach you'll find the Lazy Shack — a lovely restaurant with toilet access and tasty food on the menu. There's also a fantastic fish and farm shop nearby, perfect for stocking up on fresh produce to take home. Our kind of neighbourhood.

What if the weather is bad? this is the UK — if we only fished in good weather, we'd hardly ever fish! That said, if heavy rain or strong winds are forecast, we'll reschedule and find a better day. Safety always comes first.

Speaking of which — all our Captains are first aid trained and fully insured with public liability insurance, so you're in safe hands whatever the weather throws at us.

What is your cancellation and refund policy? We know life happens. If you need to cancel, just let us know at least 48 hours before your session and we'll give you a full refund. Cancellations made within 48 hours of your booking unfortunately can't be refunded. To cancel or reschedule, email us at hello@weareblackfish.com with your name, session date and booking reference.
